The investment of a full tank is different from other storage tanks, because it has higher safety and more advantages than other storage tanks, so the investment is relatively high. According to the analysis of the development of LNG storage tank types in recent years, the distribution of the number of full-capacity storage tanks has increased rapidly.
With the continuous standardization and update of LNG storage tank material technology and construction technology, and the continuous development and progress of design technology, large-scale LNG storage tanks will undoubtedly be an inevitable trend in the future. At the same time, the practical application of large-scale LNG storage tanks in recent years has also shown that with the continuous application and development of large-scale LNG storage tanks, the unit tank cost has shown a clear downward trend, with obvious scale effects; in addition, with the continuous increase in storage tank capacity With the increase, the unit storage tank capacity area is reduced, the land utilization rate is significantly improved, and the evaporation rate of the storage tank is also reduced to a large extent.
There are two types of storage tanks in LNG receiving stations built around the world: aboveground storage tanks and underground storage tanks. EU standards divide LNG storage tanks into four types: single-capacity storage tanks, dual-capacity storage tanks, 9% nickel steel full-capacity storage tanks, and membrane storage tanks. Most of the large-scale LNG storage tanks built in China are 9% nickel steel full-capacity storage tanks, and the volume of the large-scale LNG storage tanks built ranges from 160,000 cubic meters to 200,000 cubic meters. At present, there have been 220,000 full-capacity storage tank projects, and the construction of storage tanks is developing towards large-scale, but there are no application examples of membrane tanks in China.
The inner tank membrane in the full-capacity storage tank is a special "corrugated" folding structure that allows the membrane to shrink longitudinally and laterally at low temperatures, thereby offsetting low-temperature stress and low-temperature deformation caused by it. Generally speaking, the thickness of the membrane will not change with the increase of the tank capacity, generally around 1.2 mm, so theoretically, there is no upper limit for the volume of the membrane tank. So far, the main difference between the various technologies is the thickness of the film and the form of corrugation.
With the changes in the market, my country's large-scale LNG storage tank technology has made major breakthroughs in technology, materials, construction and design, and various storage tanks are developing to large-scale. At the same time, with the development trend of continuous exploration of technology, some provinces in my country have begun to construct large-scale LNG storage tank projects. Based on their accumulated experience throughout the year, they have continued to explore and make progress, which has promoted the development of the localization of China's LNG storage tanks, and also promoted the independent development of China's storage tank design and construction.
