Low-temperature liquid mother and child tank
The mother and child tank refers to a storage tank composed of multiple sub-tanks arranged in parallel and placed within a mother tank filled with insulating material. It is usually built to meet the requirements of large volume and pressurized storage, commonly used in medium and large-scale (1000m³~10000m³ storage capacity) LNG vaporization stations, and is also suitable for applications requiring a large amount of protective gas, such as PTA and PTE.

Product Structure
The low-temperature liquid mother and child tank consists of multiple sub-tanks, a mother tank, and corresponding process pipelines, valves, instruments, etc.
Sub-tank: As the main container for holding low-temperature media, it is made of austenitic stainless steel S30408 material; the sub-tank has a vertical cylindrical leg structure, and depending on the volume size, 4, 7, or 10 sub-tanks are connected through pipelines to communicate the gas and liquid phases of all or grouped sub-tanks.
Mother tank: As the protective shell of the insulation system, it is usually made of Q345R/16MnDR material. The mother tank accommodates all sub-tanks and uses powder accumulation insulation for cold preservation, ensuring minimal vaporization of the stored medium.
Main Technical Parameters
Storage MediumLNG, LN2, LO2, LAr, LC2H4, etc.
Working Pressure0.2MPa~3.0MPa
Single Tank Volume:600m³~3000m³
Equipment TypeStorage tank, pressure vessel
Main Advantages
The equipment has a large individual storage capacity, occupies less space than vacuum tanks of the same volume, requires less investment, and is easy to operate.
The equipment maintains operating pressure through a self-pressurizer, eliminating the need for booster pumps, BOG compressors, and other equipment, resulting in low operating costs and easy maintenance.
