The other type is vacuum powder insulation, which involves creating a vacuum in the space filled with powder to reduce gas heat transfer. Low-temperature storage tank The low-temperature storage tank is a vertical or horizontal double-layer vacuum insulated storage tank used for storing liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, and other media. The inner container is made of austenitic stainless steel; the outer container material is selected according to the user's region, following national regulations, and can be Q235-B, Q245R, or 345R. The interlayer between the inner and outer containers is filled with insulating materials such as perlite or aluminum foil, and is vacuumed. Structure Liquefied natural gas must be stored in low-temperature storage tanks, which typically consist of an inner tank and an outer tank, with insulating material filling the space in between. Inner tank The inner tank, also known as the "membrane tank," is a liquid-tight and flexible container made of thin low-temperature steel plates. It must transmit the hydraulic head to the insulation layer. The material used for the membrane must have the property of not becoming brittle under low-temperature conditions, as well as sufficient toughness and good processing performance. Common materials include nickel steel, stainless steel, or aluminum alloy.

The process flow of an LNG vaporization station!
The LNG transported by the tanker is unloaded at the unloading platform of the vaporization station, where the tanker's built-in booster is activated to pressurize the tanker. A pressure difference is created between the LNG tanker and the station's storage tank. Under the influence of this pressure difference, LNG is transferred into the low-temperature storage tank of the vaporization station through the unloading hose. The low-temperature storage tank at the station uses a tank booster to increase the tank pressure to the required value, and the LNG inside the tank flows into the LNG vaporizer through the liquid outlet pipeline.

Regarding the cold insulation design of the upper part of the water tank, since the insulation material is covered on the ceiling of the inner tank, it does not need to bear the pressure from equipment and evaporated gases (only the weight of the insulation material itself). The insulation material needs to have low thermal conductivity and low density characteristics. The upper part of the low-temperature natural gas tank is made of glass wool, with an insulation thickness of 500mm, installed in five layers. The outer side of the glass wool is coated with aluminum foil to prevent expanded perlite and other impurities from entering the inner tank through gaps.
